Burn Down The House

Burn Down The House
08–11.10.2026
DivergenX presents Anja Ripoll & Jeanne Tara
Duo show, Swab Art Fair, Barcelona, ES, 2026

The exhibition title, Burn Down The House, plays on the idea of reversing social expectations and injunctions. It can be understood as a response to constraint, an invitation to challenge established norms and wipe the slate clean. It also evokes the kind of encouragement one might offer an artist before embarking on an ambitious project. Finally, it suggests the possibility of a paradigm shift in our relationship with consumption, globalisation and climate issues.
